Cassidy & Clarity is a fractional growth practice for small UK businesses. It's run by two founders — Ivelina Nikolova and Darren Lock — and it was built to do one thing properly: help small businesses become more profitable, month after month.
We're deliberately small. There are two of us, and that's the point. When you work with Cassidy & Clarity, you work with the two people whose names are on the door — not an account manager, not a junior, not a rotating team. We both know your business. We both do the work.
We kept meeting the same business owner.
Between us, we've spent over two decades working with small UK businesses — Ivelina on the financial side, Darren on visibility and growth. And we kept meeting the same person: an owner running a genuinely good business, working hard, but trying to grow with two halves of the picture missing.
Their numbers were being kept tidy by someone who never looked up from the books to ask what they meant. Their online presence was being handled — or ignored — by someone who never saw the financial side at all. Two important parts of the business, looked after separately, by people who weren't really focused on the same thing: growth.
We built Cassidy & Clarity because we thought those two things belonged together, in one practice, run by people who'd actually pick up the phone. Not a bookkeeper and a marketer in separate rooms. One connected piece of work, pointed in one direction.
Ivelina Nikolova
Ivelina runs Clarity Accounts, a bookkeeping and finance practice for UK businesses. Her work has always been less about tidy books for their own sake and more about what the numbers actually tell an owner — where the profit is, where it's leaking, what the business can afford to do next. That instinct for turning figures into decisions is what she brings to Cassidy & Clarity.
Darren Lock
Darren runs Oak Cassidy, a search and visibility practice that's worked with small UK businesses for over a decade. His focus has always been the same question from the other side: how a business gets found, how it turns attention into enquiries, and how visibility actually connects to revenue rather than just traffic.
Cassidy & Clarity is what we built when we put those two halves into one practice — with one shared goal, and one monthly retainer behind it.
We're not here to sell you a service. We're here to grow the business.
Most firms a small business deals with sell a defined thing: a set of accounts, a marketing report, a fixed scope. That's a fine way to buy a task. It's a poor way to grow a business — because the thing your business needs most changes month to month, and a fixed scope can't move with it.
Cassidy & Clarity works the other way around. The retainer isn't a list of deliverables; it's a partnership. Every month, we work out together what's actually going to move your business forward next — and then we do that. Some months it's financial. Some months it's visibility. Often it's both. The work flexes; the goal never does.
A few things worth saying plainly.
We're a young practice. Cassidy & Clarity itself is new — though the experience behind it isn't, and the two businesses we each run are well established. We think being a small, focused, genuinely senior team is a strength, and we'd rather tell you that directly than dress it up.
We won't be right for everyone. We work best with small businesses that genuinely want to grow and want a proactive partner to do it with — not with businesses looking for the cheapest possible way to file their accounts. If that's what you need, there are better-value options than us, and we'll happily say so.
